- Evidence:
- Consistently, I loathe the way older male characters in TV and film are written to detest/look down own/NOT SEE women who are the same age as they are. It's toxic (because what must the man think of himself if he sees women his own age this way?!), gross and hypocritical.
- And I'm NOT talking about women a few years younger than they are. I am talking about women THIER OWN AGE.
- I'm thinking about this because I watched a bit of the film Bucket List (never watched it & had nothing else to watch while on the Stairmaster yesterday). I'm also thinking about the way Michael Scott on the Office treated Phyllis (in this case, it felt like the show was taking a much-needed jab).
- There is such a deep-seated problem here. The Epstein Files are the extreme of it, but it infects common parts of society is more subtle ways. It's all linked to patriarchy.
- My daughter and I are thinking of selling some signed/adorned copies of the complete SHE WHO KNOWS trilogy (maybe even the whole “Mystic Points” series— the trilogy + Who Fears Death + The Book of Phoenix) once I have the final volume…just need to get our plan together, 😊. Will keep you posted.
- The rage toward the groundhog this year has been worse than I’ve ever seen it. I’ve heard Punxsutawney Phil called sooo many names today, including a “raggedy bitch”, 🤣. People are tired and angry.
- As my daughter said, all the poor rodent did was turn around and all these people are hating. Humans, man.
