I think one of the smartest narrative/creative touches in FFXIV Stormblood is: you’re introduced to the Garlean imperial anthem in an early cutscene, and you find out later that it’s a stolen, rewritten song of national pride and worker’s brotherhood from a country they’re fucking occupying.
