I think it’s funny I switched from pokemon to digimon beatbreak because ash was like this energetic sunshine boy who loves pokemon while tomoro is an angsty emolord who didn’t even like digimon at first
that's something i've always appreciated in digimon compared to pokemon, especially in the games- pokemon just comes right out the gate with POKEMON ARE GREAT, YOU LOVE POKEMON DON'T YOU?! and digimon introduces them on more neutral or even suspicious ground and earns your affection more naturally.
