Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter
- music.apple.com/us/album/i-t... Staying in tonight, and just found out that Willie made an album of Merle covers, so I think I’ll just stay here and drink
- Now that Ace Frehley passed away ( #RIP Space Ace), I’m sure there’ll be more folks/ #KISS fans viewing the Paul Lynne #Halloween Special this year. It’s an All Hallow’s Eve tradition of mine. Goes great with red wine and hard cheddar. youtu.be/CCJ0D4pI0tI?...
- Listening to The Dark Zone on @somafm.com is like having the brooding score of a Twin Peaks episode as the soundtrack of my life SomaFM.com/darkzone
- The “Good shot, baby!” cracked me up. #StarWars
- “Books, young man, books! Thousands of them … Books.” - Samuel T. Cogley, Esq. #StarTrek #TOS #StarTrekDay

- Reposted by ErnieRIP Terence Stamp. Goodbye General Zod, Chancellor Valorum, Jor-El in Smallville, and Prophet of Truth in Halo 3. Terence Stamp was also in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Red Planet, Last Night in Soho, Miss Peregrine, Big Eyes, Alien Nation, Wall Street, and many more movies. He was 87.
- In my childhood, we had ON TV, the local cable service, and they had one film in their library: Superman: The Movie (1978). It was always on, always on repeat. I ooze that movie to this day. And I just saw SUPERMAN (2025) and I was back in time, sitting in my uncle’s LazyBoy chair, watching magic.
- I snapped this one in the Egyptian Theatre while waiting for the screening of Oliver Stone’s THE DOORS (1991)
- I was going to watch the latest Captain America movie (haven’t seen it yet) then thought to myself, Hey, why not make it a Harrison Ford as President double feature so #nowwatching Air Force One (1997)!
- Get off my plane.
- Reposted by ErnieThe evil that men do lives after them
- Reposted by ErnieA little Scavengers Reign (2023) to round off the weekend.
- After watching Season 2 Episode 8 of Andor, do the more thoughtful Imp Simps *still* sympathize with the Galactic Empire? #StarWars
- Listening to an @inglorioustrek.bsky.social podcast and, also being a fan of the animated series Bob's Burgers, I realized that Trekspert Ashley E Miller is the Gene Belcher of the pod: Blurting out random, unfiltered and often-risque remarks willy-nilly, and most of them hit.
- In honor of Sir Patrick’s Day, I’m on a rewatch of the #StarTrek First Contact film. You know what? Back then I had issues with Picard still struggling with his Borg assimilation, but the Trek books since have smoothed over those cracks. Love the books! #FirstContactDay
- These Hirogen don’t mess around: I’m back on my Star Trek Voyager rewatch and I’m in the middle of season 4. They also made an appearance in David Mack’s Star Trek Destiny trilogy, and they were well represented there, too. I’d like to see more cosplay of these big bastards.
- Listened to this a couple of months ago and it sparked a Voyager rewatch: I followed the lads’ lead here and started with the Seska episodes then went on from there.
- And Seska is back! Everyone’s favourite Bajoran Maquis Cardassian traitress returns — with a daring plan to unite the Kazon sects, or to destroy Voyager, or to capture Chakotay and collect a couple of teaspoonfuls of his DNA. Ahem. #StarTrek untitledstartrekproject.com/140/
- Watching Drop Dead Years on Hulu and Bill Burr is slaying.
- My recent watch of #StarTrek #Prodigy has me on a #Voyager kick and gave Janeway a whole new gloss for me. OF COURSE she’s one of the greats! Currently on a rewatch and now on season 2. Dare I stop?

- Because I’ve started reading the post-NEM #StarTrek :TNG novels (finishing David Mack’s Cold Equations trilogy) decided to visit an old friend, the Star Trek: First Contact Blu-ray, but with the Library Computer feature on for the first time ever. I wonder where it’ll take me?
- I think I just blew an interview I just finished over Zoom (pushed too hard on an angle I shouldn't have) so I'm going to watch DAVID LYNCH: THE ART LIFE on the @criterion.bsky.social channel and luxuriate www.criterionchannel.com/david-lynch-...
- I’ve started watching the Marvel Animation series WHAT IF…? and, while it wasn’t my main fandom, it’s making me nostalgic for those good ol’ MCU days. A lot of thrills. And there’s laughs! For example, I was howling at the Happy Hogan Christmas episode (Jon Favreau slays, pun intended).

- Let’s put this one in the “they don’t make them like they used to” category: a bonus track from the soundtrack to the 1984 film #StarTrek III: The Search for Spock music.apple.com/us/album/the...
- 46 years ago today… #Superman
- Listening to John Lennon (RIP, you made my parents cry 44 years ago because of your passing, they loved you so much) on Apple Music and I found this archival music video of “Nobody Told Me,” which had guest appearances of a few luminaries, among which, was Miles Davis music.apple.com/us/music-vid...
- …which led me to this, my favorite piece from Bitches Brew. music.apple.com/us/album/spa...
- HA!
- I can’t be the only Star Trek fan who refers to the Obsidian league in Duolingo as the “Obsidian Order,” right?
- Fascinating 36 minute video on the recording of Victorian voices on the newly invented phonograph; a highlight are the tipsy dinner party speakers who have introduced me to my new favorite request at liquid events: “Bumpers, if you please!” youtu.be/BrXUcEh0ncE?...

- Just finished Planes, Trains & Automobiles and after watching the post-credit scene of an uncredited William Windom as the indecisive Bryant, I made the conscious decision to once again watch Uncle Bill as Commodore Decker in the Star Trek episode The Doomsday Machine. It’s a cornucopia of magic
- Reposted by ErnieBeen wanting to do Devil John Candy as a companion piece to go with skeleton Steve Martin since I drew that one and thought what better than today, Thanksgiving day, for finally getting to it instead to mess around? 😁 Happy Thanksgiving y’all!
- Mixed emotions: I’m looking forward to listening to this one as the FTE gang always deliver…but it’s now heading towards the end of my favorite Modern Who Doctor, and more importantly, FTE itself, a years-long favorite and one I’ll miss terribly. I’m pouring a double.
- This Sunday #DoctorWho flightthroughentirety.com
- The West Wing is an American political drama that is dear to me but, folks, these days it’s more of an American political fantasy, which makes it tough for me to rewatch. And yet- dammit!- I’m still going to do my annual Thanksgiving rewatch of S2E8 Shibboleth, b/c some things are sacrosanct

- It was one of those doing laundry, drinking Pinot Noir, watching James Bond movies on Pluto TV nights; I’ve just finished folding, it’s getting late, and while Man with a Golden Gun is excellent for background noise, the classic Spy Who Loved Me is now on and I need to stop now before I’m up at dawn
- Pivoted to Pluto TV 007 channel, and caught the tail end of THE SPY WHO LOVED ME. After 47 commercials, we are now on MOONRAKER.
- HA
- Watching USA v Jamaica. I can’t be the only American Arsenal fan who finds it slightly jarring to see Mauricio Pochettino as their coach? Prolly old news to American Gooners, but I haven’t watched matches lately. I’ve no searing hatred towards former Spurs managers but I’m aware of the rivalries
- It’s my first time watching the boys during his reign and it was oft-putting, but I’m now rolling w/it. (Easy, of course, because we’re currently winning.) We are co-hosting the World Cup in 2026 and this team needs to look good, so let’s do it, Mo! Like the Raiders owner once said: “Just win, baby”

- It’s 10 degrees Celsius here but that’s alright - I have now put on my cozy Doctor Who TARDIS themed robe. Let’s gooooo
- Yes. And there are still a few of us who remember when he was also the President of Earth!
- For no particular reason at all, I offer you: the Scorpions! youtu.be/2eep2TB93kE?...
