My position on L'affaire d'Stancil is that if you don't want to work with someone who submits himself humbly as a contributor to the work, then turns around and uses his considerable platform to evangelize for the cause in a way that constantly decenters himself, you aren't serious about the work.
I had never heard of him up until I heard he was hurting black trans people a few months ago, so I'm so confused about all of this. I think my question is: on what planet does *providing people with reasons to trust you* mean you're *trying to be a good activist*?
And how is any if that decentering

Idk what to think of this guy and expecting our not-on-bluesky actual neighbors to trust him just because he or you say so, sounds strange to me.
I just want to understand. How are regular people supposed to know who he is?
Why isnt he expected to show us he's safe like the rest of us had to?
