- The main core British value is coming up with a list of core British values and being surprised that literally every other country thinks of them as core values for themselves too
- So one of the Stark children wins at the Game of Throws?
- There's no law that says we have to refer to anyone as 'Lord'. Just start referring to him in newspapers, BBC News etc as Peter Mandelson. In fact, stop calling anyone Lord. It's embarrassing.
- Confession time... between the ages of 18 and 22 I thought the golf brand "Titleist" was pronounced "Tit-least".
- Kids today won't believe you, but there was a time you could pay £40 for a piece of software, and you owned it forever
- <launches 20 year old copy of Microsoft Money>
- I wouldn't date him either
- I checked in on the comments on a Daily Mail article about the WASPI pension decision. Surprised to learn it's apparently all the fault of illegal immigrants.
- Liverpool 2-0 Carrier Bag So far so good
- Got to keep one foot on the floor mate
- We don't have jus soli any more though. Eg if an Australian couple are in the UK on a two year assignment, have a child and return to Australia, that child is not British. I know that's not what Goodwin means, of course.
- I genuinely don't understand Instagram. I get an alert about something, click on it and it shows me something completely different. Then I can't find the story I was altered to. Most baffling platform ever.
- Apart from everything else about this guff, WHY IS BERMONDSEY SUDDENLY COVERED IN MOUNTAINS??
- Liverpool are fine as long as we don't have to play against any English teams
- In a shock turn of events Liverpool dominate the first 25 mins but concede the first goal. That never happens.
- I'm suddenly (today) getting several spam messages on Gmail. Usually these don't make it past the spam filter. Anyone else experiencing this?
- Wot??
- It's a minor point, but I don't think you can say the war in Afghanistan had a "front line". It was an insurgency war, with contested districts and areas where fighting was more or less intense. More Vietnam than Korea.
- Another opportunity to listen out for an observation by Ally McCoist that isn't banal, wrong or incomprehensible. Still hopeful. #LFC
- 60 mins in. None yet, but there's still time.
- It's a cooperation between countries that we will call the North+Arctic Tactical Organisation, or NATO for short
- Trump: "Based upon a very productive meeting I had with Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region. This solution, if consummated, will be a great one... Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs"
- The most interesting part of today for me was not Trump's speech, but the flat denial by Karoline Leavitt that he'd mixed up Greenland and Iceland. She might have said "which of us here has never misspoken?" But no, Trump must always be regarded as infallible. The thinness of skin is remarkable.
