- I had a lot of fun making these self portraits yestoday. I’ve long struggled with self-confidence, but I’m finally starting to get comfortable with who I am as a person and not worrying as much about how I’m “perceived.” I turn 34 in just a few weeks. It’s about time.

- Have I mentioned how much I love this little dude? Shout out to my friends for giving him this toy. He loved it while we were living with them temporarily, so they gave it to him as a gift so he’d have something that smelled familiar after the move. He has a bunch of new toys that get ignored now.

- This is how my work day usually looks
- So far I'm not 100% sold on the "medium format look" - like, when shallow DOF is in play it's great, *but* for general street photography it seems like F8 and above isn't really all that different from 35mm. I'll likely be reserving the C330 for more focused project work at this point.
- But I did get my Vivian Maier merit badge back from scanning today.
- I did end up with some great shots of Gremlin from the test rolls, though

- Something that is exciting me right now is that I feel like I'm starting to move a bit past *just* street photography. I think it'll always be part of my practice (and a good excuse to get out of the house), but my perspective is changing with photography in general - now I have projects.
- The only "downside" is that they'll take a very long time to finish, possibly years - but then again, most of my favorite collections of work took a long time. Koudelka's "Gypsies" took a decade. I could learn to exhibit some patience for once.
- Finally found a copy at a local bookstore!!! Stoked to add this to the collection
- May have spoken too soon earlier when I stated that this may be the "perfect photo book" - now that I've gotten through the whole thing, it's definitely much more challenging than my initial excitement. I have a lot of thoughts, but not much beyond what has already been written I guess.
