I completely understand what you just went through. I was tear gassed heavily when the cops charged us in a peaceful march during the Hong Kong protests in 2020. I was blinded and couldn't breathe.

I was there as well and concur it was a massive cloud of gas we got hit with. I was marching south on Moody when the first flash bangs went off and then the cloud of gas engulfed us. Still two blocks away from the facility so didn't see what, if anything, provoked ICE to unleash like that.

There were so many kids there I couldn’t believe they started bucking tear gas and flash bangs into the crowd barely 20 minutes after we arrived to the facility. Zero violence. Only people chanting. These people are incapable of reform or change

I was there, too, and recorded this as people left the scene. Hard to see in the video, but the baby in mom's arms was also crying with red eyes.
