- Okay, I'm now caught up on Fallout the show, and I have a take that may or may not be hot. The deathclaws looked like ass. Look. The first time we saw them, yeah they were awesome. They looked just like something out of a Fallout game, but higher def. But once they interact with the characters?
- ...they looked like cartoons. The Yao Guai in the first couple episodes looked like it had heft. Weight. I'm not sure if it was CGI or practical or a combination, but it FELT real. Seeing the Deathclaws interact with characters felt like I was watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but less self-aware.
- They looked like Diablo from Blizzard. Awesome on their own, but next to a real flesh-and-blood person? There was no suspending that disbelief.
- More imposing if anything. Brock is a has-been, and even in his heyday he wasn't that impressive.
