- CG4 (Cometary Globule 4) in Puppis — also known as the Hand of God or the Mouth of the Beast. This is a star-forming region in the constellation Puppis. It resembles the trunk of a cosmic monster reaching toward the small galaxy ESO 257-19, trying to devour it. #astrophotography #astronomy 🔭
- In reality, the nebula lies about 1,300 light years from Earth, while the galaxy is much further away, at more than 100 million light years away, so the galaxy will be safe :) This is the full field of view I was able to capture.
