- Marius Mason currently has a little over a year and a half to go on a near 22 year sentence. This year Marius, a Green Scare prisoner and trans advocate, was moved back to the women’s unit at Danbury, CT after Trump’s horrific executive order banning federal funds for gender confirming care. 1/4
- Mason had been approved by the FBOP for gender-affirming surgery since 2022. He was transferred from FCI Danbury, a male facility, and after living there for two years, he was transported to FMC Fort Worth, where he was to undergo gender affirming surgery. 2/4
- This was the culmination of a 10-year process, beginning in 2013 when Mason asked to be considered for the new transgender medical policy, after a lawsuit created a pathway to medical transition. 3/4

- ICYMI: An injunction was granted last week in a trans prisoner case the D.C. case by Judge Royce Lamberth. This ought to constrain BOP, and preserve the status quo, meaning that all trans prisoners, including Marius, remain where they are and continue to receive healthcare that they were getting.
- It remains to be seen whether that means they will get scheduled surgeries, and it remains to be seen whether the current administration cares about compliance with judicial orders, but it is overall good news to celebrate.
- So for the time being, you can still write Marius here: Marius Mason #04672-061 FMC Fort Worth P.O. Box 15330 Fort Worth, TX 76119
- Trump's first-day anti-trans order seeks to deny gender-affirming medical care to trans prisoners, among other attacks, in violation of the 8th and 14th Amendments. We're preparing to defend the rights of Marius and other prisoners threatened by this bigotry. www.them.us/story/trump-...
