- Collins was asking a question about Epstein survivors when Trump told her to smile, and Kelly invokes Roger Ailes positively when she agrees with him. For intensely personal reasons, anger is the emotion I’m least comfortable experiencing or expressing, but I’m damn sure getting better at it.
- I’m doing another series run of SCHITT’S CREEK in honor of Catherine O’Hara and I am obsessing over Eugene Levy’s reaction shots. His timing is so good and so weird that it feels like it’s beamed in from another universe (inb4 “yeah, it’s called Ontario”). Absolute genius.
- But his performance at the dinner table with his old friends in the S2 finale? The way he delivered “Not a dime”?? What a gut punch. So brilliant.
- It always gives me a good chuckle when these wannabe farm influencers think, “Country folks do it, so how hard can it be?” and then find out exactly how hard it is. Sadly, I don’t think any attempt at self-awareness or reconsideration of their classism ever follows.
- Pillowception
- “I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams” by Weezer. I will die on the hill that if Rivers had continued with his Pinkerton-era rock opera (and paid his collaborators properly), Weezer would have a much, much better reputation today. youtu.be/r2dosVRzLSM
- Forgive the earnestness, folks, but it’s kind of my whole deal: it took me 42 years to figure this out (and I still struggle with it daily), but when you stop hating yourself and learn to be kind and compassionate to yourself? Beautiful things will happen. It’s pretty incredible, honestly.
- The impact Jane Horrocks had on me as a teenager…
- Shout out to my junior high French teacher who recognized a fellow queer weirdo when he heard me singing Shirley Bassey and talking about Parker Posey before class. (He was the best and deserved better than our punk asses.)
- “You Don’t Own Me” by The Blow Monkeys. I love the DIRTY DANCING soundtrack so much, but that is the biggest skip in the history of skips.
- I told y’all Tully has taste. She’s mesmerized by THIEF.
