- We're aware the server has been going down a lot lately--we've been hitting memory bottlenecks from high server load. The site's traffic has been growing more and more over the last year, and the original backend developed several years ago isn't holding up well. (1/2)
- Our backend is being rewritten to heavily optimize this, but that will take some time, so for now we'll just have to upgrade the server. On our current infrastructure, this unfortunately may take an hour or so of downtime. Apologies for doing this on such short notice. (2/2)
- All done! Took much quicker than expected. Note that this upgrade hasn't completely eliminated all problems. It will merely hold them off to some extent until the full rewrite is ready. And we may perform another upgrade in the future if this one doesn't help enough.
