- It was a lazy afternoon 🛋️ 😒 and we were trying to figure out what to do. SOMEBODY 🐾🐕🦺 was getting a little saucy 💢👿 and started making demands and using words we just don't use around here! 😲‼️🤨🤭
- It was a quiet evening. 🌙🤫 You know, sitting on the couch killing bad guys 🧟♂️👹🔫 on the XBox, when I look over and see this! 👀⁉️ I couldn't tell if he was surrendering to authorities 🚨👮♂️👮♀️ or was having dreams of being Krypto! 🦸🐾 He stayed like this for a while.
- Poor chunky boy! 😂🫣🐾 We were beach bound, we swear! 🌊 Loves water: ✅ Good on car rides: ☑️ 🚗♥️, we just need to expand his vocabulary. 🔠😎💬
- Mavis didn't know what to make of Rooka!🐾🙀🐈⬛ Rooka = play...but Mavis = Dog Thingy Keep Your Distance 👀 Some light investigation from afar is in order... We'll see where this goes! 🤫🙏
- "If I fits I sits!" 😜🐾🛋️ Well, as we have mentioned, we tried! Actually he "snuggled" up next to me and took a nap. 🛌💤 I wasn't going to say "No". How could I? He has been such a good by. Next - time to meet the cats! 🐈⬛🙀😽

- We are trying to give Rooka all the love ❤️ and support 💪 we can. At first he was pretty nervous didn't really like scritches, but he now sees the light 😆🐾🙌 He still does 65 in a 10 mph school zone, but we get our scratch time in. 💕🥰♥️
- Yeah. 😲 Rooka isn't good at the math that calculates his size...✖️➗➕Lots of "fun" hearing this crash from downstairs...thanks, ya big tank! 🐾😓❤️
- Is he...comfy? 👀 Our "no couch" rule is more of a suggestion at this point. 🐾🫤 If we're lucky, our pups get 15 good summers, right? So you sleep how you want, buddy. 😆🦮👍
- We tried giving Rooka a bath and he wanted nothing to do with it. 🛁 The splash pool however, that's whole different thing. He loves the splash pool and we are running low on towels to dry him off. 💦 The hardest part - keeping him off the furniture after the splash pool! ❌ 🛋️
- Being locked in a room with no windows all day is no place for a pup. 👎 Now Rooka has free reign of a big back yard and a splash pool. 💦 Our next step - teach him how to use the doggie door so we don't have to leave things open all day and night. 🚪🌙
- He is the doofiest beefy boy ever! 😋 The more comfortable Rooka gets the more personality we see. He's now even letting us give him belly scritches! 🙌 We are glad he is adjusting to us as much as we are adjusting to him. 😀
- UMMM... did you know that dogs can drink from a straw🥤. Yeah, we didn't until Rooka stealthed up to a water bottle and started chugging from the straw 😆. It was quite a sight! We can't to see what other tricks he has for us. 🐈🤝
- Mavis and Ozzy have not been impressed that we have a visitor. 👀 We are trying to take introducing them slowly 🐢, but that also means that the voids have to stay in a separate room 👿. Not cool when you had run of the whole house! 🏚️
- It looks WAY worse than it is ❤️🩹, but it is all part of the process. Getting Rooka to NOT jump is a challenge, and at 80 pounds it is hard to keep him down, but we are working on it! 🤪 Savannah has been very patient with him. 💕
- Rooka is a sweetheart ❤️, but he has NO idea how big he is. He acts like a puppy - he jumps, he nips, and he gets on the furniture 🐕. Getting him off the furniture has been a challenge! Unfortunately he doesn't know what "NO!" means. 🙅
- We really didn't know much about Rooka 👀. We knew that his owner was in a bad place and that he needed to be rescued. What we got was a big ol' Mr. Beefy! ❣️ He is the sweetest, but he is still a puppy wants to do puppy things 🐶 😬.
