- this is actually fascinating. almost word for word the same issues we've been having. plot twist was the growing number of publisher contacts who began saying "I really want to play this" while their company couldn't take on the project.
- I don't fault the publishers. it's hard to take risks on high risk genres. they have to listen to the investors that give them money in the first place, so one person might be down, but another person with authority in the same studio may be too hesitant, so it's a no.
- you learn a lot from rejections though, like how many people want gay knights

- one of my biggest ambitions for attending college was the desire for heavy structure to learn better game design and 3d modeling tools. i don't function well without structure
