grant me the unchecked confidence of non-Jews explaining antisemitism and antisemitic terms and whistles
pre-empting two typical reactions:
-this doesn't mean non-Jewish folks couldn't explain these things, just that the people who talk online loudest don't
-for the knee-jerk weirdos who need to exclaim this every time, it *doesn't* mean antisemitism is the most pressing concern rn either
personally, I *love* the pattern of
-dumbass says some absurdly wrong shit unprompted
-you gently but not gentilely offer better information
-they react "ohh so we need to worry about antisemitism now??"
Like... yes, we do need to be concerned about antisemitism? It's kind of a classic through-line with fascism? I've seen people get mad about it but it's like, yeah it's true with misogyny, racism...
Feb 3, 2026 23:38right! And people always do this zero sum nonsense like talking about it has to be at the expense of any other bigotry, or that it means it's more prominent or important.
Weird how people only ever do that with talking about antisemitism and transphobia
the other part that's so aggravating to me is that these bigotries are interwoven and used to amplify one another!!
Mass shootings of non-Jews have been based in antisemitic conspiracy. And those conspiracies now animate so much of white supremacy!
