- The only silver lining about Trump breaking things is that Americans come to recognize the importance of what he's breaking. A new Gallup poll shows that a record-high 79% of U.S. adults say immigration is a good thing for the country.
- Elon Musk set out to change the federal government and utterly gave up in 4 months. I find it hilarious that anyone is taking him seriously about starting a new party. Dude is allergic to doing actual work.

- What if, and stick with me here, Trump’s calls to the holdout Republicans aren’t working because they are are ALSO getting calls from Elon Musk saying “I’ve got your back” if Trump is threatening you with a primary opponent. 🤔

- Once again MAGA and Fox News are confused about the difference between a riot and a protest. Here’s one of my helpful charts: On the left is DC on Jan 6. On the right, Los Angeles this weekend.
- Trump‘s legally dubious move to deploy the National Guard in Los Angeles won’t be the last city he tries this with. His proclamation declaring he has the power to do this did not specifically cite Los Angeles. It’s open ended. Which means he’s going to try this anywhere he wants.

- According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump recently asked his advisors a question about Elon and DOGE: “Was it all bullshit?” Sharp as a tack, that one. 🙄

- I just watched a clip of Trump talking about some dude with a trophy wife to West Point graduates. I don’t see how anyone watches that clip and doesn’t think that man is out of his mind.
