- I, for one, am enjoying the Detroit Pistons' swift transition from being 'so bad at basketball it's not fun to watch' to 'so good at basketball it's not fun to watch'
- was all for giving TESTAMENT OF ANN LEE the benefit of the doubt (Seyfried, honourary canadian, can sell feverish belief like few can) but Fastvold / Corbet should have learned how to write a movie with a single moment of levity in it before they figured out how to balance a budget
- very fun Sabrina Carpenter performance. Olivia Dean is rewarded for having one of the best songs of the decade. Bad Bunny is crazy hot. good award show so far, time for the country album award heat check
- dusting off jelly roll with an absolutely killer gaga performance...very good show I fear

- award show season. weirdest time of the year where the most common refrain you'll hear is "I don't know any of the movies/musicians/shows nominated" wielded as an immediate small talk killer instead of a rich conversation starter
