- Exactly 3 years after moving to Germany to start my 1st postdoc, I am excited to share the published article describing the role of the dorsal hippocampus in the learning of prosocial rescue task in mice #neuroskyence #neuroscience #science #hippocampus www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
- We validated a previously reported rescue task in mice then observed that the dorsal, but not the ventral, hippocampus is necessary for the learning of this task. Using 1p-miniscope, we observed that the hippocampal network becomes more functionally connected each time the mouse successfully rescued
- We also identified a subpopulation of neurons that respond specifically to different intervals of the liberation event. We also investigated which other regions could be future candidates to map out a brain region circuitry of the learning of rescue behavior.
