- GDTN BREAKING NEWS - A major airline has cancelled all its commercial flights on its schedule after going into liquidation today. After more than 20 years of service, Royal Air Philippines has become the first airline to formally cease operations this year.
- GDTN - JMK Group has opened The Kensington Hideaway, a 59-room boutique hotel located along Kensington High Street in London. Formerly the Seraphine Kensington, JMK Group has led a multimillion-pound refurbishment of the property.
- GDTN TRAVEL ALERT - TRAINS TO AND FROM GATWICK AIRPORT and other services are facing major disruption this morning. Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express services are facing major disruptions and some cancellations this morning due to several incidents.
- GDTN - London North Eastern Railway has revealed the new fleet ‘Serenza’. The 10 Class 897 trains will be the first new fleet introduced as part of the new Great British Railways service, and will join the existing Azuma trains in the coming years...
- CONT: Customers will benefit from improved seating comfort in both Standard and First Class, with the ability to recline in First Class and they will be able to stay hydrated with the introduction of five water bottle refill stations throughout the train.
- GDTN - The Atlas Hotel, operated by Highgate, has opened its doors in the Allston neighbourhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The hotel sits near the bank of the Charles River which divides Boston. It contains 246 guest rooms, including 12 suites.
- GDTN - KLM has taken delivery of its 28th and final Boeing 787 Dreamliner, completing the airline’s Dreamliner fleet, which now consists of 13 Boeing 787-9s and 15 Boeing 787-10s. The larger 787-10, first delivered in 2019 shortly before KLM’s centenary.
- GDTN - SAS will launch three new long-haul routes from Copenhagen for the Winter 2026/27 season, adding Dubai, Phuket and Krabi to its intercontinental network. The return to Dubai marks SAS’s first service to the UAE since 2011, restoring direct access between the two cities.
- GDTN - Lufthansa has begun modernising the Business Class cabins of its entire Airbus A380 fleet. All eight A380s will be fitted with new Business Class seats during a retrofit programme carried out at Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) in Dresden, starting in early February...
- CONT: The new Thompson Aerospace Business Class seats will offer direct aisle access, increased privacy through flexible partitions, a 58 cm seat width, beds of at least two metres, and Bluetooth connectivity.
- GDTN - UK citizens will be able to travel visa-free to China for trips under 30 days after a deal was struck during the British Prime Minister’s Beijing visit with Chinese President Xi. Visa-free entry to China is already available for citizens of France, Germany, Italy, Australia and Japan.
