- Reposted by Joe Morris MPOn this day in 1945, the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau exposed the scale of Nazi crimes to the world and became a symbol of the horrors of the Holocaust, the resilience of its survivors, and the guilt of its enablers.

- Great to spend Saturday with our excellent Labour candidates for Throckley, Walbottle and Newburn ward. Some great conversations on the doorstep - thanks to everyone who took the time to chat.

- Reposted by Joe Morris MPDr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated his life fighting for equity and justice. He taught us that even in the face of intimidation and discrimination, we must never stop working towards a better future – a lesson that feels especially relevant today.

- Roy enjoying his Sunday evening
- Out again in Woolsington this morning with the local Labour team. Some (very reasonable) concerns about international events and some useful conversations about issues both local and national. Very little appetite for the politics of division here.

- Out in Newburn this morning. Very little appetite for a Reform Council that would be focused on division - and lots of support for our excellent candidates. Picked up some important casework too.
- Reposted by Joe Morris MPThe Reform pitch is increasingly “the last government was terrible, so we’ve hired everyone who was in it”.
- Reposted by Joe Morris MPBREAKING Kemi Badenoch has sacked Robert Jenrick from the shadow cabinet, removed the whip and suspended his party membership. She says she was "presented with clear, irrefutable evidence that he was plotting in secret to defect" to Reform

- Joined Simon Harrison and Liam Spencer, two of our excellent candidates for Newcastle City Council out on the doorstep in Kenton Bank Foot today. Some great conversations on a range of issues - from local to national to international!

- We are delivering on our promise to roll out breakfast clubs for all primary school children. Starting in April, 750 schools across the country - including four in our constituency - will begin offering free breakfast clubs to ensure no child starts the day hungry.
- The first schools in our area to benefit: ✅ Cambo First School ✅ Otterburn Primary School ✅ Chollerton Church of England First School ✅ Mickley First School This initiative will save families up to £450 a year and I look forward to seeing it rolled out constituency-wide in time.
- February recess has been a fantastic opportunity to spend more time in the constituency, and I've loved visiting schools across the area to discuss what I can do as your MP to better support them in achieving the best possible outcomes for our young people.
- Slowly but surely, I'm making my way through the brilliant educational institutions we have here. I am looking forward to meeting more of the hard-working staff and students at schools across our constituency in the coming months.
- Thank you to Broomhaugh First School, Corbridge First School, Highfield Middle School, Shaftoe Trust Academy, Haydon Bridge High School, Allendale Primary School, Hexham Priory School and Otterburn Primary School for the warm welcome.

- Last weekend, I visited the brilliant WECAN charity in Hexham who provide support for young people with additional needs, met with residents to discuss water pollution concerns and knocked on doors in Haltwhistle. I am looking forward to another busy weekend out and about meeting constituents.
- It was a pleasure to visit Citizens Advice in Hexham this morning, speaking to their staff about the vital work they do in our community. On Valentine's Day in particular it feels important to celebrate those who serve the area that they love with time, care and compassion all year round 💙
- Nobody should be left waiting for an ambulance, but unfortunately that is the reality for many in our most rural villages. With ambulances unable to cross county lines, our villages face long waits and trips to distant hospitals. This isn't just red tape, it's risking lives.
- Reposted by Joe Morris MPWe at LCEF kicked off the year pointing out the flaws in the previous Government agreement with Drax. Excellent to see the Government today announce a change in this agreement that is better value for the taxpayer, better for energy security and with higher standards of sustainability.

- Every four minutes, someone in the UK dies from cancer. This week, the Department of Health and Social Care announced a world-leading AI trial to tackle breast cancer.

- Reposted by Joe Morris MPCampaigning in the local elections … There was a great team out today campaigning on behalf of Nigel, our Labour candidate for Hexham West.
- It was great to visit the iconic Forum Cinema Hexham today, a 1930s art deco gem at the heart of our community. The Forum is undoubtedly a vital part of Hexham's heritage but keeping historic venues like this running isn't easy! 1/2
- The Tyne Valley Film Festival is returning for its 5th year in March so please do come down and support local cinema #tynevalleyfilmfestival 2/2
- In-person banking is a vital service for many constituents, yet too many branches are disappearing. Our banks in Hexham and Prudhoe not only serve residents in our larger towns but also those in smaller villages across the Tyne Valley who have already had their banking provisions decimated.
- I have written to the Executive Director of Lloyds Baking group plc. urging them to reconsider their decision to close three bank branches in our constituency. 1/3
- Banking should be accessible to everyone, no matter where they live. If you have been impacted by a recent branch closure or are concerned about upcoming closures - please consider signing the below petition and don't hesitate to get in touch with my office. 2/3
