It is so frustrating to me how neatly the Maidan revolution and the pro-Russian hysteria following it fit into the progress-reaction framework, and how almost no leftist on planet earth seems to recognize this absolute fact
Mar 13, 2025 20:13I feel like certain people get hung up on the weak-tea politics of the movement’s figureheads and its ultranationalist hangers-on and then miss the deeper issue of what they wanted and why, and furthermore who and what they were arrayed against (e.g. kleptocrats, imperialists, LaRoucheites somehow).
To that last point: The Western media loves to fixate on Dugin, but it’s weird how few people bring up Putin’s Ukraine pointman Sergey Glazyev calling Lyndon LaRouche a prophet in a prerecorded address or, to go with something really batshit, how Task Force Rusich are straight up O9A ghouls.
