- I've been staffing a booth at the Festival. One of the activities involved kanji, asking participants, "What kanji would you like to master?" Several people, upon hearing I'm from China, wrote characters like "鎮" (to quell), "尊厳" (dignity), or "留学" (study abroad). Some even wrote my surname, "李".
- Yet I find myself increasingly unable to voice this. The reason is that I still don't know Japan well enough. The journey from liking Japan to truly knowing Japan is still a long one.
- Staff complimented me on my pronunciation of Wang Lao Ji (あたりまえ!But I do love being praised)
- Last week I visited the Jewish Museum in Vienna, and it's clear that there's a divide between the Jews and the Viennese government. Their impressive display of back-to-back figures, boards blocking the view, some signs rejecting stereotypes.
- This week was spent visiting sites and museums in Budapest that dealt with that period of Jewish history, those moments that are remembered.
- The nature here is amazing. People are all dressed kind of the same. No matter where I walk, there’s music in the air. #fujirock2025

- Reposted by tianyu212Im gonna say it again: music is VITAL to games. Music guides players. Music enhances emotional moments. Music is so so so important. Funny enough video games are modern operas in the way music is needed to buoy the emotional stakes.
