- Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is a violation of women’s and girls’ human rights. FGM, also known as female genital cutting or female is the partial or full cutting of a girl’s clitoris and labia, for non-medical reasons. There are no health benefits to FGM. #EndFGM
- Instead, it causes lifelong physical and psychological harm. Our partners, SEND Sierra Leone, engage with schools and communities raising awareness of harmful practices like FGM. We'll continue to work with our partners across the world until this harmful practice is stopped.
