- @philipgoff.bsky.social After years of casual study of various theories of consciousness, I've adopted panpsychism as the most likely explanation but only because I found each of the the other explanations to be inferior in some aspect.
- What puzzles me is that there seems to be a drive among some philosophers to go to great lengths to discount the existence of that which Descartes said we cannot doubt (e.g. Daniel Dennet). What interests me is why these philosophers are so motivated to acknowledge the existence of consciousness?
- Is it simply that they conflate the acknowledgement of consciousness beyond computation with deism?

- I see a big opportunity after the AI crash. Buy up the data centers at a discount, sell the hardware to China, sell the building as warehouse space (or add windows and use for housing), fill the land with solar/turbines, and use the high capacity grid connection to distribute power @volts.wtf
