Occam’s Battleaxe
We need far fewer Kirks and many more Spocks.
- I don’t like this, but I can’t dispute it. It won’t matter how bad it gets for the GOP, if the Dems can’t field a stellar candidate, they’ll just win again. Why the hell doesn’t the Left have ANYBODY that can unite and galvanize the party like Obama did?
- It would have been nice if America had realized what Trump was, and had the character to act on consequences back when Trump was able to understand what was going on.
- We need America to be embarrassed again. We have raised several generations on the idea that anything they think up is worthy of praise and respect, no matter how obnoxious, repellent, stupid or sociopathic it may be. We are absolutely seeing the consequences of a society that never had a filter.
- Not that I espouse violence, but “back in the day” you had to say whatever vile shit to people’s FACES, and there was a very real chance you’d get punched in the mouth. Social media has introduced a “remove”, and anonymity that has emboldened our baser instincts that USED to be more in check.
- Customer asks me for help with some computer problem I suggest a different (correct) way of accomplishing their task Customer argues that they want to keep doing the exact thing they were doing before We end up in a bizarre, surreal loop of counteroffers and frustration People are so weird
- At a certain money/power level, they simply don’t understand right and wrong, it just doesn’t mean anything to them. They can literally do anything they want, and everyone around them is anxious to please their every thought, fulfill every wish.
- Why did we try and stop them from eating Tide Pods and inject horse dewormer? Maybe we should have just encouraged massive parties of unmasked, unvaxxed chuds in Montana instead of trying to save them from themselves. We support science, but then try to deflect natural selection. Let Darwin cook.
- This is why I am of two minds during arguments about universal voting and letting a TidePod eating nation that reads at a 3rd grade level handle the tax finances of the country: (Maybe I’ve been in customer service jobs too long…)
