- Also in Liverpool, the Casbah Coffee Club! The Beatles played here many times before the Cavern. Painted by John, Paul, George, Pete, Mona, and Cynthia, the art on the ceiling and walls is still original. The stage was much smaller than I thought! #beatles #ffmc
- Of course, I finally had to pay a visit to the Cavern Club! Though not the original (which was closed in 1973), this rebuilt one is mere feet away from the original, and built using many of the original bricks. #beatles #ffmc
- I have an original brick from Strawberry Field and one from the Casbah, but I've yet to obtain a Cavern Club brick. Someday maybe... 🙂
- Also on Mathew Street is the wonderful Liverpool Beatles Museum. Tons of original Beatle-y artifacts inside. Highly recommended stop if you are in Liverpool! #beatles #ffmc
- My first walk down Mathew Street was an amazing feeling! The Beatles would have been all over this street. First of all, The Cavern Club is located here. But there are several other "Beatle-y" spots on this street and nearby. It was a very popular area, especially at night. #beatles #ffmc
- While in Liverpool, I stayed at the Hard Day's Night Hotel. It's a great hotel with Beatles stuff everywhere (and Beatles music playing 24/7). I stayed in a Patti and George room. And it's literally right next to Mathew Street, where the Cavern Club is located. ✌️ #beatles #ffmc
- Right across the street from St. Peter's Church is the rec room where Paul McCartney first met John Lennon. I was fortunate enough to be able to get in to see it. The photo of my feet is the estimated exact spot where they met (toward the back on the left), as shown in the picture. #beatles #ffmc

- Behind St. Peter's Church is the likely location of where the Quarrymen played the day John met Paul (with the lovely David Bedford pointing out the spot). The cemetery has greatly expanded, but it's most definitely where it took place. #beatles #ffmc

- Finished watching the remade Beatles Anthology! Episode 9 really was a nice addition. There are so many changes (moving things around, additions, removals). It was a small part of the original, but it's interesting they removed the Apple Boutique section.
- In general, a wonderful documentary! But it definitely stands as its' own unique thing compared to the original. If you want more of the full performances of songs, see the original. If you want things kept more brief, see the new version.
- Beatles Anthology episodes 4-6 watched! I’m becoming more aware of how different it is from the original 90’s version. There are many more changes than I first thought! The original and new anthologies are really two different things, in my opinion.
- Happy Beatles Anthology Release Day! Initial thoughts: looks really great, definitely some changes in places (some things removed, some things shortened, some things added), sounds great, and subtitles are vastly improved from the original. It’s definitely more than just a visual improvement.
