- Gah, @storiesandlies.bsky.social are playing Delta Green "God's Teeth" and GYAH. I'm glad I got home when I did and took a break, because the new episode is full of really disturbing stuff. I was making faces and muttering "oh fuuuck" under my breath on the walk home.

- Dear Printy McPrintface (AKA Prusa Mini): If you could please stop doing the corner lifting on the lower right corner of the print bed, that'd be awesome. Just stop. I've done everything I could to fix you and you're still doing it. WHY DO YOU HATE ME???
- 🧶 5 border repeats down, 65-70 to go (I can't remember and my math is not mathing right now). I was hoping to have it done by the end of next week, but at this rate, I'm doubtful. #knitting
- Also, there's a mistake two repeats down that's bothering me so I need to decide if I'm going to tink back. (Nobody would know. BUT I WOULD KNOW. 🫠)

- This is such a simple ornament, just a printed out photo and a 3d printed box (but you could also make it out of cardboard and silver paint or tinfoil), but it is genuinely making me laugh every time I walk by the tree this season. 🎄💖🥹 #ChristmasOrnament #DieHard

- I'm learning how to do visible mending on the elbows of my cardigan. This first attempt is a bit wonky and possibly I'll end up doing it in a more contrasting color – or adding on to it to cover the whole thing patch – but for a learning attempt, I'm quite pleased with it. #VisibleMending #CraftSky

- Argh, this project is cursed. This time I did a couple of rows twice rather than skipping them, but it's still a mistake and need to be fixed. At least it's just one vertical repeat that need to be frogged. 🫠🧶 #knitting
- Mysterious potato, definitely.
- When you're 14 repeats into a 28 repeat shawl and then you notice that there are two mistakes all the way back at repeat 5, and your brain will not let you just ignore it and you've frogged it all before you realize what you're doing.... 🫠 #knitting
- I really need to up my pillow game so I can stop having to wake up coughing in the middle of the night. The problem is that I inevitably slide down and end up lying flat no matter how many pillows I have. It's either that or more drugs to stop the chronic post-nasal drip. 🫠
- Dammit, Dungeon Crawler Carl, stop making me cry! #NowReading
- I love how wild this yarn looks in a cake and then becomes so pretty when broken up in a colorwork pattern! This is just a sample see how difficult colorwork is (not very, for me). The color yarn is kinda old and full of splits, not sure if it's worth it to keep going. #knitting #sockknitting
- *opens Bluesky* *scrolls* *scrolls some more* *opens settings, adds to muted words* *closes Bluesky* Not worth it.
- Also, I've been looking into m a y b e trying to knit a sweater again, but most of the easy patterns have high necklines and I can feel my skin itching just looking at the pictures. I suppose I could always try a pullover first, to avoid the sensory issues...
- I've fallen down a rabbit hole of "Eastern European"/"Polish"/combination/"Polish granny" knitting videos and now I remember, this is totally how I used to knit when I first started! And then I "corrected" myself because "omg you're twisting your stitches!" even though I wasn't. 🙃

- Archie has been making so much progress since I got this cat scratcher bed. 😽🧡 #CatsOfBluesky #TuxedoCats #BetterWithCats
- I don’t know what it is about it, but having it beside my armchair makes him feel safe enough to let me reach down and pet him. He usually reacts like in the video, by showing me his belly and licking my fingers. And he’s started coming over if I dangle my hand down and just rubbing up against it. 🥹
- He’s also hopped up on the back of the armchair and aggressively cuddled my face. And he’s been pacing around the armchair, standing up to lean his paws on the armrest, like he wants to hop up on my lap but isn’t quite sure about that yet. But I think he’s getting close!
- And of course there’s our morning routine, where he’s lying on his window bed and I come over after I get up and tell him good morning and give him little kisses on his head. 🧡🐈⬛😽

- Oof, another episode of #TimeForChaos from @glasscannonnetwork.bsky.social and another complete emotional devastation by @rossbryant.bsky.social in the very last minutes.
- Natasha and Bucky spent yesterday evening trying to snooze on my lap but with trick or treaters, I had to keep getting up and eventually they sulked off, until this morning. Now Natasha is sprawled on top of me, but she's in for another disappointment because I have to go to the cemetery soon.
- I got the double flu/covid shot on Wednesday, had some initial soreness, and then bam, fever and muscle aches so bad I called my mom for some long distance pity. 🤒😫 (I don't get fevers very often so when they hit, they take me out.) The cats all piled on the bed with me, even Archie stayed. ❤️
- Had the start of another fever last night, and after a failed attempt to get some paracetamol from a neighbor, I managed to find one lone pill in the medicine cabinet, and brought down the fever. I think next year I'll do the shots on separate days, it's not worth the suffering.
- It is 9:26am, and various people have rung my doorbell SEVEN TIMES already today.

- When you come home and find the stairs, kitchen, and part of the living room covered in yarn, and your 🧦 WIP lying in the middle of it. 😬 I guess that's the danger of center-pull yarn cakes, it's really easy for a cat to pull it out. But it also makes my #knitting a lot easier, so it's a trade-off.
- For once, Archie did not simply plant himself on top of Bucky without any concern. 🤣 #CatsOfBluesky #BetterWithCats

- Just like the movie, the score for "Tron: Legacy" is so much better than "Tron: Area." The former stands alone as an excellent listening experience while the latter, while an OK score in the movie, feels like an unfinished NIN album that brings nothing Tron-like with it.

- I used to be really good at logging my yarn purchases on Ravelry, and then there was that big brouhaha about the site redesign and I guess I stopped using the site beyond just looking up patterns. Which is why I now have a bunch of yarn that's wound into nice cakes but missing labels and argh...
- A tiny goodnight blep from Her Ladyship. #CatsOfBluesky
- My cats love to sit on my lap, but unfortunately today is not a "sit and relax" kind of day; it is a "remember that thing you forgot and get up every five minutes" kind of day, so sorry to them in advance.
- So apparently magic loop sock #knitting is super easy? I didn't even need to look anything up, it seems so intuitive! Not really faster than double-point needles, but less fiddly and fewer chances of stitches getting dropped or stretched out between needles.
- Reposted by PaulaNo one likes being treated as if they're on-call and I don't want to disrupt its work/eternity balance, but I'm just saying that when its able to it might be time for the ceaseless watcher to turn its gaze upon any number of wretched things.
- My brain is filling this with @apocalypseplayers.bsky.social material 🤣
- I couldn't resist. #pleasingterror
- I kept going with the double strand for the edging and I had enough yarn! This will be smaller than the original pattern (Bridgewater by Jared Flood) calls for since I reduced the size of the central panel, but it should be enough for warming up my shoulders or lap. #knitting
