Toby @ Xue Yang vs. A Kink Club
Fey creature of many names. A machine that makes stories. Relentlessly Songxuexiao. The god of poets has two hands: the dextrous, the sinister.

- Very specific flavour of dad movie here but my dad is the one who introduced me to The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension.
- When we were little kids he used to call us “aluminum monster bunnies from the eighth dimension.” Monster bunnies for short.
- Bandwagon achieved (started watching Heated Rivalry).
- Why have I not seen ANYONE talking about the little exchange of toe-taps during the press conference.
- Eating some stuff out of the fridge for… I guess it’s lunch at this point. And we are now finally down to what I might be so bold as to describe as a “normal” amount of leftovers in the fridge.
- We do still have some moose and sweet potatoes, maybe that’s tomorrow’s breakfast.
- Happy Imbolc and goodnight, friends. This poem seems to grow more and more apt with every passing year. Plant flowers. Be the light. May the sunrise and the turn of the year be a blessing to you and yours.
- This poem and many others are available in my digital chapbook, A Mouth of Honey and Blood, which can be purchased on ko-fi if you’re interested.
- Imbolc dinner last night. 🍽️ Alex roasted a chicken and made sundried tomato cabbage and mashed potatoes, and I baked focaccia.

- While filling out my planner for February I discovered that Lunar New Year is on the same day as Mardi Gras this year (relevant to my life now because that is the last day of king cake season). Not sure what I'm going to do with this information but I surely must do SOMETHING.
- What sweets does one eat for Lunar New Year and Can I Put It In The Filling Of A King Cake.
- Update on the [redacted] website now that I have successfully updated all the pages to the new framework: fully 71% of their pages are Hall of Fame entries of which, again, and I cannot stress this enough, four of them are men named Gary.
- I have at least finally finished with all the tedious nonsense of updating the format and grammar-checking all the pages, and can now proceed to entirely ignore that 71% while I start fixing up the rest of the actual content on the website.
- Up next: QA and updates to all the links, since I just rearranged about 95% of the website structure, and then I'll be doing around thirty pages of new copy or copy rewrites.
- This is who runs this account.
- This week’s king cake is a three-strand braid with a cream cheese filling, because I’m a fucking overachiever, and it WORKED THE FIRST TIME, because I’m incredibly sexy and talented. ⚜️🍽️
- Reposted by Toby @ Xue Yang vs. A Kink ClubI saw an eohippus model at the natural history museum once, and I loved it so much, I had to make one
- Book checkpoint! Last: Feed Them Silence, Lee Mandelo. Current: The Maiden and Her Monster, Maddie Martinez. Last added to TBR: Radiant Star, Ann Leckie. Next: Either The City in Glass, Nghi Vo (which I currently have from the library) or Swordspoint, Ellen Kushner (which just got in on ILL).
