- There aren’t many films that I’ve actually broken down into a literal flood of tears over. I’d heard that it’s happening a fair bit during Hamnet, and Max Richters score is certainly a huge part of it for me. This is a nice insight into how he was involved closely theankler.com/p/hes-the-re...
- The only piece of direct marketing I’ve had from John Lewis (that I can remember), suggesting a new television. Sent to the same email address I used to buy a (bargain) television only a few months ago…
- Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

- Of course that’s the headline, there is no other contender
- Had an entire screen at Vue to myself last night. I wouldn’t have had it any other way! Watched @edgarwright.bsky.social’s Last Night in Soho. Late to the party on this but what a film! Beautiful shots of London, amazing recreation of the 60s and a cracking story to go with it.
- This is one of those moments where I'm able to say "THIS IS MY TIME TO SHINE" and it has a double meaning 🧑🦲
- "Some precious Duolingo streaks could be lost unless the internet outage is fixed before the end of the day." Can you imagine Duolingo allowing that to happen?

- An evening with the greats, Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade courtesy of @waterstones.bsky.social for @bobmort.bsky.social’s new book ‘The Long Shoe’ Get these two their own chat show!

- One more on handshakes…

- Watched No Time to Die last night, enjoyed it a lot more than out initial cinema outing. Most enjoyable was the John Barry / Louie Armstrong throwbacks and the (can you call it) reverse parallel (?) to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service with the ending. Need to look up M’s quote he took from a book

- Kingfishers still farting about at Blashford. This isn’t a cardboard cut out of one, once I tried to slowly open the window of the hide it did a runner…
- On Friday I had a brilliant time at the BFI Southbank watching two films involving the @petshopboys.co.uk The wonderfully surreal ‘it couldn’t happen here’ followed by a Q&A with Neil Tennant who sat with us to watch the premiere of the ‘Battleship Potemkin’ remaster synced to the PSB score!
- Lovely evening walk over Purbeck
- Been hanging around the local lake looking for kingfisher juveniles, they’re quite frequent at the moment but I’ve struggled to get good photos. Lovely to watch though 😊
- Cracking Tuesday!
- I’ve drawn out watching Andor for months and watched the final episode today, it’s been such a good show - need more quality like this please!
- Apparently not too early for blackberries
- Finished the second season of Star Trek: Prodigy today, shame there’s no plans for a third. A worthy successor to Voyager, proper good Trek and great cast. Fingers crossed someone picks this up…
- Hovis Hill!
- We had a bat in the house! I can now add ‘careful bat removal’ to my skills list… Can you do that AI?
- A walk, a pint and… why not?
