Joel Reamer
Unrepentant whistler.
- DFW (not my neighborhood, not necessarily Dallas, not necessarily Texas) is by far the worst place I’ve ever lived. Forget that there are no real waters nor mountains here, forget that it was built for cars so has no energy: it’s that the hearts of the people in this region are black and shriveled.
- Is there nothing that the NYT is not getting wrong these days? The absolute state of this list.
- From @TheAthletic: What were the most talked-about Super Bowl halftime shows ever? These are the halftime performances that had everyone buzzing, at the water cooler and on social media, the next day. nyti.ms/3ZL93ZV
- Being a bit of a crank today, sorry, it sucks.
- I don’t know if this guy the people doing the Miss Rachel/Zohran crying gif at this (yes, petulant and dumb Trib post) know how elections usually actually work. Everybody (including me) get off the internet for a bit.
- From the Editorial Board: Kat Abughazaleh made a show of declining (sending a spokesman, for goodness sake) to be part of the editorial board’s endorsement interviews after first informing us she would attend. trib.al/LXhfqMv
- Very genuinely
- I’ve done a lot of defending of Mark A and the Brewers’ methods but
- I was in Rockford this weekend, home of the Trick, and was (sadly) twice regaled with tales from locals of Rick Nielsen bein’ a jerk. Man, don’t tell me that!
- Wee fun fact, Oklahoma City only very recently changed its name from the embarrassing striver “World Airport” to its current “International” nomenclature because they finally added an international flight in November: a daily to Cancun.
- Now I want to hear Chalino singing the entirety of OK Computer.
- Dry January is over. (We’re all in Rockford, Illinois because our good buddy just entered hospice here. 😕)
