- Responded upthread, but I think that'd trigger mass protests, strikes and capital strikes. Often think back to the few weeks after J6 when a lot of powerful lobbying groups withdrew from half the Republican Party before reverting to the status quo.
- Yeah, I think this would result in a legitimacy crisis. States and cities would refuse to recognize the authority of the "old" Congress. But that's kind of just a long way of saying "civil war", so, cold comfort I guess?Feb 2, 2026 14:58
