When reading Black Flame I wondered at the weight of the Baroness' filmstock.
If 35mm, at 24 frames per second the 16,043 frames in one reel would be 668 seconds long, ~11 minutes. At 16 frames per foot, 1002 feet long. At 2 grams per foot, almost exactly 2 kilograms.
I volunteer as a projectionist at a small indie theatre, and I remember carrying 35mm movies up into the both. Each reel is about 20 minutes long, and IIRC there were usually 2 reels to a can, 2-3 cans to a movie. They were *heavy*.
