Paulina Wanrooij
Research group leader at Umeå University, interested in mitochondrial DNA instability and its signaling to the rest of the cell.
- 🚨 Postdoc position open! Join us at Umeå University to study proteins that maintain mitochondrial DNA stability. 2-year fellowship | International research environment | Apply now! 🔗 umustipendie.varbi.com/en/what:job/... #Postdoc #Mitochondria #Biochemistry #AcademicJobs
- Our newest paper on mitochondrial Topoisomerase 1 shows that Top1mt has only weak endoribonuclease activity and it therefore does not often generate deletions at incorporated ribonucleotides. This helps explain why ribonucleotides are tolerated in mtDNA. Read more: academic.oup.com/nar/article-...
- Only just over a week left to apply for a postdoc position in our lab - if you are passionate about mtDNA maintenance and biochemistry or signaling, here is your chance!
