The longer I work in tech, the more I want to own all the content I create. The platforms are nice, but in the end, you still end up being beholden to them. Are they going to censor you if you say something they don't like?

Are they going to be around in a year? a month? a week? tomorrow? #TikTok was on the verge of being shut down in the US. #Facebook would censor your content when they wanted to. #Google takes things down from #YouTube as they see fit.
