- MINA KNOWS BALL!!!
- Why haven't I seen more talk about A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms on here? It's as good as the best Game of Thrones, top tier GRRM, and adapted so well. More Dunk and Egg, Sarandos!
- Kotlinconf just needs to send me my formal rejection to get it over with sooner lol
- He's going to take Bleed American too literally
- Data centers in space is just the new full-self driving: a means to manipulate stock price
- Poor Kaitlyn Lawes. May be an elite Third but haven't quite gotten there as Skip.
- Already to post about how Kerri Einarson is cursed after doing her teammate dirty but then oh wow that shot #stoh
- I generally think it's lame to post AI summary errors but this is so very wrong and annoys me as a person with niche interests
- I don't think society was ever as monoculture-y as we believed it to be. At the same time, we shared sources of truth like the news, governments, and experts, which reinforced norms and fostered togetherness, a common reality. Bubbles always existed but there were conduits connecting most of them.
- But as those shared sources of truth and norms broke down—sometimes for good reason—the bubbles got bigger and more exclusionary in a downward spiral. If one norm was bad or if the feds lied about this one thing, then nothing is real. Baby and bathwater stuff.
- No small part of that, I posit, is that critical thinking was never part of our formal education. Those of us lucky enough to have picked it up at home, at school, or in books were able to separate good info from bad, instead of simply drinking from the trusted firehoses we have based on heuristics.

View full threadI don't know how this ends. But I don't think this is a steady state. Good or bad, something has to change. You can't have a functioning society where some ppl think the world is flat and others don't. What kind of transportation policies can you institute that don't seem insane to either side?
- Jalen Hurts, Flacco, and Shedeur are in the Pro Bowl this year. Oh come the fuck on!
