- TOMORROW IN ST. LOUIS! CONNOR RATLIFF presents THE ACTING CLASS Two shows, back-to-back! 7pm & 9pm Greenfinch Theater & Dive “Connor Ratliff is a brilliant & funny comedic performer & actor.” THE NEW YORKER “An Improv Star.” VANITY FAIR Tickets: purplepass.com/CRpTAC
- I have never gambled but have now multiple times had the experience of feeling like I just lost upwards of $1000 bc an entertainment industry gig was *about* to happen and then it all fell apart at the very last minute after I had already mentally spent the money

- A fun little showbiz lesson that you can never remind yourself of enough: NEVER GET YOUR HOPES UP MORE THAN A LITTLE BIT Allow yourself like a tiny 5% boost of "oh, this will be fun IF it happens" Anything more than that is just BEGGING for a rug-pull There will always be an exec ready to ruin it
- I approach EVERY audition assuming I won't get it, and I don't care, and it feels great I think there have been like 5 jobs in the course of a decade where I allowed myself to hope for it, and of those 5 jobs I booked exactly NONE of them I just let myself be fully surprised if something goes well
- 2nd show added this Saturday night in ST. LOUIS! CONNOR RATLIFF presents THE ACTING CLASS 7pm & 9pm Get tickets! purplepass.com/CRpTAC
- The current TASCHEN sale includes the Lee Unkrich 2-volume box set about THE SHINING, which is one of the best things I've ever owned. If you like Kubrick's The Shining, I cannot recommend this highly enough: www.taschen.com/en/books/fil...
- It is so good that makes me wish every movie I love had a companion set like this, even though I'm not sure any other film ever will! One book is photos, the other is an account of the making of the film that is super-detailed but is well-written & edited in way that it is consistently interesting.
- This box is like the kind of thing I would have a dream about and then wake up frustrated that the thing this good would never actually exist in reality.
- I was really trying to figure out a way to host a screening series of ALL the classic era Warner Bros Coyoteverse animated shorts this summer, in anticipation of the theatrical release of COYOTE VS ACME but I have not had any luck so far figuring out how to make it happen.
- The point of it would be to screen these films in chronological order, to allow audiences to appreciate the comedic/artistic evolution of the series; they have typically only ever been presented in random order on TV or home video, and the original theatrical releases had months/years between films
- The ideal series would be divided into 3 parts (or 4, with an additional screening for the related Ralph Wolf films, which could be on its own or folded in amongst the Coyote films).

- By far, the weirdest acting credit I now have is playing a blindfolded priest in this sketch filmed for Anthony Atamanuik's The President Show which Deepak Chopra emailed Jeffrey Epstein a link to -- an email that is literally in The Epstein Files.
- Late breaking jan mans For the places where It is still January
- A tiny bit more jan man

- St. Louis, MO! I'm bringing my critically-acclaimed show, CONNOR RATLIFF presents THE ACTING CLASS, to Greenfinch Theater & Dive on Feb 7 at 7pm! The last time I performed in STL was with Comedy Bang! Bang! 2 years ago! Did you see it? If so, you should come to this! TIX: purplepass.com/CRpTAC
- If I can reach even a small percentage of the audience members who witnessed my performance as "Morris, The Missouri Mule" at The Pageant in June 2024 and make them aware that I am bringing my solo show to St Louis, I am confident that the buzz will be absolutely unstoppable.
- At that Comedy Bang! Bang! show, I was but one person in a cavalcade of talented performers wrangled by a host who is - as they say in "the biz" - a "consummate professional" Such is the nature of CBB! My show on 2/7 will ONLY feature ME; this is, admittedly, a significant reduction in the # of ppl

View full threadYES, I know, I didn't win the Webby for the show I'll be doing 7 days from now in St. Louis, I won it for my podcast, Dead Eyes, recently named on 3 prominent "Best Podcasts Of All Time" lists, including in the book, The Podcast Pantheon - but I think it is fair to use that win to promote my show!
