- I don't think you should get MVP in the NFL if you didn't win your division.
- You can say that would mean valuing team performance over individual performance, but the thing is individual performance in football is already so reliant on your teammates' performance. As a QB you aren't getting MVP if your Oline doesn't block and your teammates don't score touchdowns.
- So I don't think you can ever divorce the idea of individual success from team success in football. If you wanna take be literal and say "Well think of how bad this team would have been with a league average player in that role" then the MVP should just go to Mahomes, Lamar, or Josh Allen every year
