- I used to use regular brushes, but I’ve found brush pens work just as well, are more durable and are less messy. The Pentel Fude is one of the cheaper real brush pens, at around $7. I swap out the ink and use Platinum Carbon Black because I’m impatient and it dries fast which means I smudge less.
- Xenomorph. Pentel Fude brush pen with Platinum Carbon Ink, watercolors, stamp pads and rollers.
- Some recent comics I’ve read/reread/enjoyed/plan to steal ideas from. Cry Wolf Girl by Ariel Slamet Ries Funeral Parlor by Robert Young Will Eisner - A Comics Biography by Stephen Weiner and Dan Mazur Captivity by Xiang Yata
- We’re going wide in this next issue of Miss Truesdale and the Rise of Man! So many spreads in issue 3! FOC is tomorrow (2/2)! From @mikemignola.bsky.social Clem Robins and myself, published by @darkhorse.com
- Can anyone think of examples of this sort of (apologies for my phrasing) Klimt thing being done in comics?
- Skinny Brains and All.
- Some of the movies I’ve enjoyed recently. I’ve been on a bit of an old and foreign kick of late. Mostly watched as the film makers intended: incrementally while riding an exercise bike.
