- I just finished watching The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest and my thoughts can be summed up thusly, there ought to be a law against being this painfully generic. The fact this has a dub and Apocalypse Hotel doesn't is a sign we live in a broken world.
- Good riddance, it's bad enough that we were strong armed by TV makers into thinking 1080p wasn't good enough (it's all you really need) and forced to push into 4K before we we're ready. I say we freeze it all in place for the next 10 years and see where things go. arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026...
- If you listen to the Vergecast for any amount of time you realize just how much money the big TV makers raked in over a few years after everyone saw the clear benefits and upgraded to 1080p. Ever since then they've been chasing after the next big leap (remember 3D?) and none of them are compelling.
- Kept myself busy this weekend making stickers to give out at this year's anime car panel and I got the most important one right here.
- Took a step towards making myself slightly more available by making a Linkree last night and filling it out with my Twitter, BlueSky and Discord. Now I gotta get a rubber stamp made with a QR code so I can stamp it on the backs of all the stickers I'll be giving away this year.
