- slablet, for sure! I use one of these bad boys (Genius G-Pen M609x) and have absolutely purchased another in the past because I am garbage with touch screen things. I don't care if it was made in 2009, it works!!! 😂 It has served me very well, and all my merch has been drawn with it.
- Genuinely cannot wait for the day i go nuclear and drop rescue entirely. I cant wait to not get called out of nowhere for help with a dog. To not have garbage AI trends shoved onto my feeds constantly. To never again have to tolerate someone shitty or crazy just to ensure an animal's safety. 😫

- In case anyone was wondering if Tav & Mufasa were still gay as hell 😆 they are. Still hoping the perfect adopter comes along for these two goobers.
- we've had like 3 different cat health scares this month and finally everyone seems to be on the mend and doing better 😩 UGH. Good. Because theres fucking 4 inches of snow outside and Oklahoma doesn't know how to handle it, so every clinic in my area is closed for several days 😅
- A very special happy 2nd birthday to our miracle baby, Kaiju 🥹 He was our 50gram preemie kitten born to a mom who passed of pyometra. On antibiotics at 3 days old, pretty much came out the womb with herpes symptoms... our vet told us at 1wk that he likely wouldn't make it. 😅 WELL! He made it!
- He certainly wasn't an easy baby, but by 3 weeks, we had a feeling he'd be ok 😂 the moment he was off the tube (around day 5 he started trying the bottle, but not consistently), he started really gaining weight! Talk about a FAT baby!!!
- Kaiju's mom was a breeder cat, 8 years old still popping out kittens. Yes, a bad breeder 😒 The lady still insists he is a full American Shorthair- I saw his mom, yes, she was an American Shorthair. But Kaiju is def the milk man's son 🫠 An OOPS kitten, its called in rescue. We think he's perfect.
- He is amazing with kittens, and loves to raise babies. We often find him piled in with sleepy kittens, or loving on the other cats in the household. His favorite things are playing fetch, and drinking from water bottles... like, he goes nuts for a plastic water bottle 😂 Typical Orange Cat Things.

- i kinda busted my fav camera lens and I'm having to use one that i am less fond of... its just shorter, thats the only issue, but i am a creature of habit. BUT. i took some really pretty photos of our kitties today

- Snickers has been having some issues with his peen as he grows, which we knew was likely to happen due to his surgery having been done so young 😅 not that we had a choice! He's doing much better now, all healed again, but I will def miss his fruity little soft cones 🤣
- He goes for an exploratory surgery soon, hopefully to find his missing testicles 😐 His birthday is Aug 8th.... they definitely should have shown up by now. But he is undersized, empty sacked, and full of love! 😅 We have a couple theories why, and we'll see what the vet finds, I guess!

- On top of The Everything going on, one of our cats, Meenah, is having some health issues. The vet isnt sure exactly why, but she is losing weight and having inflamitory flares. 😔 the anti inflamitories reduced her immune response, so of course now she has picked up a cold too. 😭
- We've reached the part where canadian family members and friends are sending me messages saying that if Xylo and I (and the cats) need to come back north, they will make space for us. We have a life here, but i wont lie, its crossed my mind a lot in the last year.
- We have a house. A dozen cats. People we care about. Friends in other southern states we care about, and i wouldnt feel right leaving them behind. We are lucky to live in a small, rural OK town where we have community- even queer community. But shits scary and it makes me miss Canada a lot.
