- I assumed James Rodriguez was washed but he's actually really good still?! Looks like his mobility is mostly gone, but he's still a wizard. The shot quality numbers are also much better than I expected
- I either absolutely hate this or absolutely love it and I'm not sure where I land yet
- I agree with this, if you're signing a U22 Initiative player it makes way more sense to go with a 21-22 year old player vs a 18-19 year old. The return is just much better.

- I’m really enjoying Soccerwiser, and this is a really good listen, but Bobby Warshaw claimed that Messi was only worth 5-6 points a season mathematically. Net G+ puts him at 0.44 net G+ p96, so roughly +12-14 in expected goal difference per season. Thats a lot more than 5-6 points

- There’s a ton of really interesting tidbits in this episode about roster construction and overall philosophy but that definitely stuck out
- NYCFC Academy product Dante Polvara returns stateside. Good pickup for St Louis; he’s a plug and play physical midfielder who may not be elite but has a very high floor. At the price St Louis paid there should have been several more teams in the race.
- Trinity Rodman is 5’8” but she’s 6’4” if you use Mercator Projection
