- HE KNEW.
- Belatedly catching up to this absolutely stellar post by @sockpuppet.org from November 2025 — he cracks open several key insights about how all this stuff works. (bonus: i also real-life LOLed more than once) fly.io/blog/everyon...
- I feel like in the Before Times our job was to: • understand the problem • understand how to write code Both were really hard, but "understanding the problem" was mostly hidden away in human brains in a way that was super efficient when it worked, but was also deceptive since it was hidden.
- "Understanding the problem" wasn’t explicit or shareable in external form unless the human spent a lot of effort creating documentation for everything their brain understood in order to write the code.
- Now it feels like the “understand the problem, including breaking it down to the tiniest sub-problems” part is being made SUPER explicit, which is sometimes a little exhausting to me tbh, but also forces & documents clear thinking in places that we didn’t always force or document it before.
- hi yes so in the course of a single Sunday worth of Clauding, I converted the design spec from @voxel.org's brand package into a specialized macOS app that allows us to easily generate large format posters to send to our local print shop... I'll give a video tour of this app soon, but 🤯
- Here's a tour of this poster and branded titles app, built in a weekend. We're now living in a world where brand deliverables could easily include custom apps for generating design artifacts! www.tiktok.com/t/ZThfFfDxp/
