- You know, to some extent, I think Cersei really did feel some amount of kinship and affection for Sansa. She didn't care about her, per se, but she saw something in her she could relate to. A young version of herself, before the cruelty of the world she inhabited forced her to harden herself to it.
- It's honestly a great dynamic, especially when they talk during the Battle of Blackwater. It humanizes her in a way that doesn't dilute how sinister and malignant she truly is. I wonder if she was using Sansa as a kind of surrogate daughter after Myrcella was sent to Dorne... to comfort herself.
- Did Lena Headey win any Emmys for this? Because if not, she *should* have. Just an incredible performance. Top tier.
