- Our office's first "Particularly Dangerous Situation" RFW was issued today, unfortunately. Goal here isn't fear, but widespread awareness and preparedness. Wildfire risk management requires a collective approach across all facets of society. Without it, these types of days are much more dangerous.

- Including *two* positions in Boulder! Challenging forecasts, a plethora of collaboration opportunities with collocated atmospheric science groups, and the mountains at your doorstep are just some of the draws. Locality pay helps offset cost of living! Happy to chat with anyone who's interested.
- Even under lighter winds, this fire moves. Live fuel moistures below 40%, fire behavior in oakbrush almost indistinguishable from pinyon-juniper. Extreme drought conditions are evident. May be done with Red Flag days for a while, but the #LeeFire will continue to run. It's no ordinary season. #COwx
- Today's environment had the ingredients for deep pyroCb formation from the get-go. The final factor (clearing cloud cover) arrived late afternoon, and boom. Needless to say, significant expansion to evac zones southward along CR 5/Hwy 13 corridors for the Lee Fire today. #COwx #LeeFire

- Tragic accident on the Million Dollar Highway derailed today's arrival in Meeker. Detoured via Telluride, and captured some images of the Stoner Mesa fire which punched some pyroCu. Hectic day of travel and weather support for 4 separate incidents.
- En route to Meeker to support the emerging fires (Elk RBX, Lee, and Grease - the latter two of which have merged). They've grown to ~16,000 acres in 2 days. Unfortunately, extreme drought and prolonged critical fire weather conditions through at least Friday will make for a very tough week ahead.
- Oh no, so scared. I'll take a nation that doesn't cower to dictatorial impositions over one that blindly caves to nonsensical spending spurred on by a top tier bootlicker (Rutte) any day.

- Last year, in my "low productivity job", I worked over 540 hours of Overtime, and spent 68 days away from home deployed to wildfires. So let's hear it. In what ways have you taken away from "American prosperity" in your lOw ProDuCTiVity jObS?
- The low towards the latter half of next week has quite a bit of track uncertainty, and could tap into good Gulf moisture - worth keeping an eye on. The number of ensemble runs with a significant Front Range snow has crept up a tad the past 24-48 hrs. BUT, still a ton of spread in solutions... #COwx
