i really like illuga being deeply attracted to both flins and varka but also having a lot of anxiety about it because he feels like the perpetual third wheel in their relationship. like he thinks they'll tolerate him but never truly prioritize him

i love characters that yearn deeply but are held back by their fear of rejection. illuga watching flins and varka arm-in-arm laughing together and feeling his stomach twist into knots

i think in this case illuga is partially correct, in that flins has told varka that he is fae and hasn't told illuga, which indicates a level of trust or closeness not extended to him... but he does not realize that flins considers their relationship very precious in a different way

illuga isn't jealous... can you imagine! him being jealous of a couple of old men! what nonsense. he has more important things to be doing other than mooning after his colleagues...
