- One of the great joys I find in writing is the unexpected and unplanned twists and turns one can take. I like to write a "Wikipedia-style plot summary" for my stories to provide a framework, but I've found I always add scenes that enhance the narrative I didn't plan for.
- It still boggles my mind that the use of tear gas is banned in war, and its use is considered a *war crime*, but it's considered perfectly acceptable to use in peacetime on one's own citizens.
- This kind of whinge coming from someone with a surname that starts with "Money" comes off like an Onion parody. "Oil companies are unfairly demonised" says David Exxon-McDrillRig, known to his friends as "Slick."
