After the Covenant School shootings in Nashville, Kirk discussed gun violence. He stated that it is not possible to have an "armed citizenry and not have a single gun death". Some gun deaths was "worth it" for the preservation of the Second Amendment. Those gun deaths were innocent schoolchildren.
