Somehow reassuring.
For those of you unaware, for the past few months I've been serving as a Starship Artist on the Star Trek Online team. You can look forward to my current pride and joy, the Garrett Command Alliance Dreadnought Cruiser, soon!

The D in many guises.
The once and future Pike 😃
Filming Spock’s flight over Yosemite National Park, STAR TREK V: THE FINAL FRONTIER (1989)
A classic Boris Vallejo, for John Ford's "The Final Reflection" (1984), which despite being non screen canon had some influence on it.
Mail call: Star Trek: Die Spiegelwelt #1, a German translation of the first half of DC Comics' Mirror Universe saga written by Mike Barr, with art by Tom Sutton and Ricardo Villagran. Most translations use existing cover art, but this edition features new cover art by Turkish artist Ertuğrul Edirne.
Great pic of Discovery, think this was from the Star Trek Explorer mag.
Superb work and accurate likenesses from the talented Jerome Moore, DC TNG #20 (1991).

Review: ‘Star Trek: Section 31’ Is A TV Movie
The first adventure into streaming movies comes up short.
The great eye of V'ger... it is always watching....
This was going around again on Tumblr, I don’t think I ever posted it here by itself: Martok, Hades game style
#StarTrek #HadesThe shadow cast by the long departed Sisko looms large on the cover art for the novel "Unity" (2003), written by S.D. Perry.
Section 31 has some glowing embers (Robert Kazinsky, Sam Richardson) but it remains, sadly, dull & uninspiring. A Star Trek entirely outside Starfleet had potential if written with wit and intelligence, unfortunately this is empty-headed & full of tropes.
From the TMP bridge monitors. Makes a great phone wallpaper!
Had a blast doing red carpet interviews last night... check out this thread of photos. I still can't believe I met Carol Kane and Michelle Yeoh. Everyone was incredibly nice and gracious. (And Wilson Cruz gave me a lovely hug.)
I really wanted to like
#StarTrekSection31, and it hurts that I didn’t. The movie is what you see in the trailers. There isn’t really anything held back. If the trailers work for you, so will the movie. If not…
Anyway here’s my spoiler free review:

The Enterprise-D takes flight in the cover art for "On Board the USS Enterprise" by Denise & Mike Okuda.
Peeking back on Bluesky. How's everyone doing? I WAS excited about the S31 movie... still gonna watch it, though!
All the right iconography on Jerome K. Moore's cool cover for DC TNG #24 (1991).
Old bee enjoying a bit of sun. (Also great progress on new bee the last couple of days.) :)
Maybe a year, maybe yesterday...
An oldie but one I still really like - wish I could find a me style instead of my jumping about - 2025 Id like to finally figure it out but I've been saying that since... checks notes... 2014

The Excelsior travels the night... from DC TOS #35, 1992, art by Rod Whigham & Arne Starr.
Superb cover art for DC Trek issue #75 (1995) by the talented Sonia Hillios. Seems to glow.
One of my favourite black and white sketches, the Enterprise gliding over V'ger of course, by Mahlon Fawcett for Enterprise Incidents magazine #8.
By Noble-6 design - echoes of Peak in a subtler palette.
Let's see what truth is out there
The first 1:00 of my audition for Captain Gabriel Lorca about… 7 years ago??? I think you’ll see why they hired the right guy when they went with Jason. In fact, when my representatives told me who they hired, my response was, “Fair enough”.

A occasional thing I like to do is 'restore' a photo by combining whatever decent images I can find online to produce something better than any of them were alone. Details from here, colours from there, some careful retouching, denoising etc.
A dramatic panel from Early Voyages, the Pike-era comic series that ran way back in the late 90s. Art by Michael Collins & Greg Adams.
Another thread of Star Trek fonts!
No structure this time, I'm just going to share whatever I can identify in whichever order takes my fancy. These fonts will mostly be official, or notable, or otherwise have caught my eye. 🧵 [1/∞]
That classic James Bama art. Iconic.
The stars in secret influence... a striking double page image in DC comics' original Trek run, #48 (1988). Art by Ricardo Villagran & Michele Wolfman.
