- I had previously been impressed with Cursor, but Claude Code is some next level wizardry.
- Did OpenAI reduce the daily usage limits for ChatGPT? How am I hitting my daily limits at 10:30A with just normal usage?
- @taylorlorenz.bsky.social Just saw you pull up on Hasan's stream! Thank you both for covering the protests! 🫶

- I know I sound like a broken record on this, but it is staggering how much better Pandora is at making playlists & "radio stations" with great music than Spotify. I've heard so many songs in the past week that I haven't heard in years. Partying like it's 2009 😜
- The state of the internet in 2025:
- I’ve officially switched from Spotify to Pandora and I couldn’t be more happy. The variety, it’s way smarter at playing “similar songs” — and it doesn’t play the same ~30 songs over, and over, and over again.
- Vibe Coding in a language you are not familiar with will not make you more productive than hand-rolling a solution in a language you are familiar with. Writing a working program is 80% coding, and 45% debugging. 🤓

- My Baseball Card identification model is at 17,000 training images and about 200 sets! Think it’ll be ready for prime time in another month or so. Have some gaps to fill in the 2010s ⚾️
- I don't know if I've been using Spotify too long or what, but my recommendations now, across multiple playlists, are basically the same 20-30 songs. It's getting super repetitive -- I wonder if it's because of their new reliance on AI and the AI lacking the "creativity" compared to earlier algos?

- Officially shutdown my Mastodon instance this morning. It was a good run but the majority of folks/creators/news orgs I follow are all here now, so BlueSky it is! I'm still not *thrilled* with once again trusting a 3rd party company with my data -- but BlueSky has critical mass.
- I recall when I wrote my own eCommerce Platform in Blazor, getting the Stripe integration for products & checkout took a week or so. Just syncing prices, items, getting the checkout flow and webhooks laced up. Replit just took ~2 hours to get it working on a new project and it works perfectly. 🤯
- Has anyone looked at a quarter recently? When did George Washington get a ponytail?! 🤯
- Road tripping with Pugs 🚗 🍞
- I swear having Pugs is like living with a greeting card 🍞
- Shedeur Sanders starting to remind me of Bo Callahan 😜

- On a lark I decided to spin up a L40S GPU instance on Digital Ocean to see if doubling the VRAM (24GB -> 48GB) would benefit my model training from the 3090 I have at home. It did not. So, that's nice to know! Much cheaper to train for the time being until my dataset grows more.
- "JUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDE" ⚾
- Discovered yesterday my custom image tagger wasn't properly setting new coordinates when I was using the keyboard shortcuts to modify the bounding boxes. Meaning I have to go back and fix about a weeks worth of images because the bounding boxes were all wrong and they were poisoning my model 😭
- I discovered this because I train a flattened "single class" YOLO12 nano model to auto-bounding box images when I'm tagging them to save time and then I just adjust what was suggested. Over the past week I noticed the nano model was getting worse and worse at giving accurate suggestions.
- I get people are using the literal term, but can we perhaps differentiate "space tourist" from "astronaut"?
- Living in 2025 is being up until 11:00PM with tech support for our bed. FOR. OUR. BED. 🤦🏻♂️
- I'm considering shutting down my Mastodon instance. I spend 95% of my time over here on Blue Sky now -- and the communities here are more vibrant and populated. We'll see how I feel by the end of the week. Might be the end of the ~3 year run. 🐘
- Got my .NET Aspire project setup and running locally on my proxmox server on an Ubuntu VM running Microk8s. It required a *LITTLE* customization of the Kubernetes configs, but got it all up and running without having to shell out more money for Azure hosting! Five BIG BOOMS for Aspirate!

- Padres lost to the Cubs today -- BUT, a strong start to the season! Also excited for the Portland Seadogs AA opener tonight! ⚾
